Born out of the love of pure textile design, Milk From A Thistle combines bold and engaging prints that capture your imagination.

The amazing pieces are like a breath of fresh air, with designs that are captivating and unique. And the woman behind these charming designs is Danielle Atkinson. After a career in indie music, Danielle turned to her first obsession, fashion.

Australian designed and Australian made, Milk From A Thistle was launched in 2006. Danielle’s designs are evidently growing with each season from prints to styles. Her love of big bold prints has become the label’s staple signature as well as her original designs that are exclusive to Milk From A Thistle.

The wearable and accessible garments tell a story just like a fairy tale. My personal favourites are Forest One Shoulder Silk Dress and Maxi in Baltic Blue as both combine flair with comfort chic.

I'm Back and Ready for 2011

I have been away reinventing who I am. I guess you can say 'Soul Searching' and fulfilling that empty void in my life. I can say a lot of things have happened during this time off. I got engaged, holidayed, lost a loved one and laughed and cried. But all which I can say has shaped who I am today.

Of course Fashion is still such a HUGE part of my life. I work in fashion and I live and breathe it. My love for vintage classic pieces has lead me to start my own vintage store 'With Love'. This way I can share what I find with you. (www.withlovevintage.bigcartel.com)

I do not believe in forcing yourself to make New Year's resolutions that end up being broken in a day or two as they are so unrealistic. I do however, believe in the power to dream, love, laugh, cry and of course express yourself with in fashion.

This year will be life changing and I can not wait to share it with you!

...winter wonderland...

It's winter here down under and the best thing about winter is rugging up and wearing unbelievably, amazing, wonderful boots. I am currently on the hunt for the perfect pair to add to my collection but finding the right pair of boots seems to be more difficult than I thought. And who better to help a girl in need with such an important decision? friends! So please help me decide on the pair (keeping in mind I LOVE all things vintage)

Amazing boots #1 - combat/military boots

I've always wanted a pair of doc martins but never thought I could pull it off, but I am starting to fall in love with them all over again and loving the combat boot style. They are funky, comfortable and versatile (a pair that you can just chuck yet you know you will always look stylish)

Amazing boots #2 - wedge lace up boots

 These boots are fantastic! they combine the combat/military edge with sophistication. how that can be? who cares, they look hott! The tan pair is a Chloe boot and it also has a military and 19th century design whilst the purple boot (unknown brand) is military meets fashion!

Amazing boot #3 - can-can boots

These 19th century style boots are sexy, vintage and fashionable

Amazing boots #4 - suede wedge boot

These boots can be dressed up or dressed down. They are practical and fashionable and will go well with my wardrobe

So there you have it, my 4 choices of boots. Please let me know which style you like and I would love to hear your current favourite boots (they don't have to be from my options)
